Updated: Jul 25, 2023

What are your hours? Monday 9am - 3pm & 5pm - 9pm

Tuesday 9am - 3pm Wednesday 9am - 3pm & 5pm - 9pm Thursday & Friday 9am - 3pm How do I schedule an appointment? You can book via the book now on Facebook or Instagram or Book directly on my website www.nationbeauty.nz. If you can not do either you can email me on jen@nationbeauty.nz, phone 0204466643 or private message on my Nation Beauty business pages on social media. How can I pay? I have eftpos available in the salon, also accept paywave, credit card (visa, mastercard & amex), cash and I have Afterpay in store. Afterpay is 4 split payments. Also have memberships available. Why do I need to complete a consultation form? A consultation form keeps us both safe, it helps me to understand your history to make sure it is safe to go ahead with the treatment for you. As a qualified beauty therapist safety is paramount, it also means I am covered by my insurance company. I can give you a better service if I have an understanding of your history. I don’t need to fill out a consultation form anywhere else I go? Every qualified beauty therapist with insurance should be getting you to complete a consultation form to make sure its safe to go ahead without medical permission. Make sure you check qualifications and insurance is in place. What product ranges do you use? I take pride in making sure I have the best ranges for Nation Beauty and all my clients. I use Dermedics Skincare (active range), Arbonne (non active), Panemorfi (Jelly Masks), Ital wax, Elysian Valentina (Tints, Lifts, Laminations), Moroccan spray tans, Bestow Supplements. Information on these will be on my website.

When should I arrive for my appointment? I ask you to arrive 5 minutes early and if I am still with a client please take a seat on the couch in the waiting area. Gives you a moment to unwind before we start. If you arrive in the evening and my curtains in the salon are closed, door will be open please come in and take a seat as I will just be finishing up with previous client.

Where do I park?

I am located at 47 Parker Ave, Levin I have plenty of free on street parking out the front of my house/salon, please avoid parking in the driveway.

What if I need to change or my appointment?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, but if you need to cancel or reschedule please do so with as much notice as you can give so I have the opportunity to fill your appointment time. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment there will be a 50% cancellation fee. Should you not show up to an appointment or give less than 4 hours notice you will be charged 100% cancellation fee. These fees are payable within 7 days or further action may be taken. I understand people get sick and things come up and I am pretty reasonable, so please communicate with me via my business page, text, call or email however this is also my only income source for my family.

What if I am running late for my appointment?

If you are running late please notify me where possible. Your treatment will still end at its normal end time so that subsequent clients are not delayed. If I can shorten your treatment to still finish on time we can go ahead however if I deem that your treatment can not be completed in the shortened time frame, I will suggest that you reschedule and a fee may be charged.

How can I keep up to date with what's happening in the salon?

Nation Beauty maintains social media presence on Instagram and Facebook and will have updates on the website. You can also ask to be added to the mailing list for monthly emails with updates.

Can I purchase skincare from you?

Yes I have skin care available to purchase in the salon and also access to a wider range of skincare. I also have an online shop. Please chat with me at your appointment or book in for a skin consultation appointment (redeemable on product). Afterpay is available to pay off in 4 payments.

How often should I have a facial?

A great question! This depends on your skin and skin concerns. A skin cycle is 21-30 days which means new cells are coming to the surface every 21-30 days so for maintenance I would recommend every 4 weeks however if you have any skin concerns I would recommend every 2-3 weeks until it is under control and then maintenance. However as an individual client I will give you the advice depending on your needs and we can make a skin plan together. Depending on the type of facial and the goal you may be able to have more often or more spread out. I also recommend a good at home skincare routine.

You have multiple amazing sounding facial machines. How do I choose?

If you are unsure on what kind of facial to book in for, feel free to send me a message and I will ask you a few questions to get you in for the best place to start. It will depend on your concerns and history. I have information on my website on what each treatment is good for also. I also have a skin consultation available where we can make a plan or you can book in a bespoke facial and I will do a consultation and tailor it to your skin.

How often should I wax?

Hair growth rate varies from person to person however I recommend that you visit every 4 weeks to ensure the hair growth cycles catch up and stay regular for best results.

How long should my hair be before waxing?

Hair should ideally be between 0.5mm - 1cm long, this way your wax will be more successful without breaking or missed hairs.

Do you have gift vouchers?

Yes I have gift vouchers available for purchase at the salon. These can also be sent if required. Vouchers are available for use on treatments and products sold in the salon. Leftover credit can be added to your account for future use (before expiry date). All gift vouchers have a 6 month expiry date from purchase date. No refunds given on vouchers not used within expiry date.
